Description :

Fragmentary amulet of the god Nefertum, represented with a lotus flower on his head. On the back pillar, an inscription gives his name. In Memphis, Nefertum was believed to be the son god of Ptah and Sekhmet.

Fragment.Chips on mouth, chin and beard. Otherwise excellent quality.

Material : Egyptian faience
Size : H. : 6 cm.
Provenance / Period : Egypt. Late Period. 26th dynasty, circa 650 B.C.
